How to Choose Wall Panels for a Living Room
A living room has many demands: it is where guests are received, where the family relaxes and often where the TV sits. Here is a simple order of decisions.
1. Choose the wall
Pick the wall people see first or look at most, such as the TV wall, the sofa wall or the wall facing the entrance. Leave the others simple.
2. Decide the mood
Do you want calm and warm, bright and modern, or dramatic and dark? Collect two or three photos you like and note what they have in common, such as lines, wood tones or contrast.
3. Shortlist materials
- PVC panels: a wide range of colours and patterns.
- WPC panels: often chosen for wood-style looks.
- Fluted panels: vertical lines and shadow.
- UV marble sheets: a glossy stone-like surface.
- 3D panels: raised texture for a focal wall.
See our wall panels page for the full list, and compare PVC with WPC in our comparison.
4. Check how it looks in your light
Take a sample home and view it in the morning, afternoon and evening, with your lights on. Many people change their mind at this step.
5. Plan lighting, sockets and furniture
Decide where the TV, lamps, shelves and sofa will sit. Mark switches and sockets on your measurements.
6. Plan the budget
Quote prices depend on material, quantity, site condition and installation. Read what affects wall panel prices so you know what to compare.
7. Measure and ask for a quote
Measure the wall using our measuring guide, then request a quote. If you would like someone to look at the space, you can ask for a ₹499 home visit, subject to confirmation.
