How to Measure Walls for Wall Panels
Good measurements lead to accurate quotes and less waste. You do not need to be exact for a first enquiry, and a home visit can confirm the details.
What you need
A measuring tape (a 5 m tape is easiest), a notebook or phone, and ideally a second person to hold the end.
Step 1: Measure width and height of each wall
Measure the width along the floor and again near the top. Measure the height at the left, middle and right. Walls are not always straight, so note the largest figures.
Step 2: Note what interrupts the wall
Mark and measure windows, doors, switches, sockets, AC points, vents and any built-in shelves. These affect how panels are cut.
Step 3: Decide the panelled area
Decide whether panels go floor to ceiling, stop at a set height or cover only part of the wall. Write the height and width of the panelled area separately from the full wall.
Step 4: Take photos
Take a straight-on photo of each wall in daylight, plus one wide photo of the room. Photos help us understand the space.
Step 5: Plan for extras
Note where you want lighting, a TV bracket, shelves or furniture to go, since these affect cut-outs and fixing.
Do not guess the quantity
Panel sizes and cutting waste vary by product, so the quantity to order is worked out from your measurements and the chosen panel. We will do this with you in the quote.
Preparing for a home visit
If you book a ₹499 home visit, it helps to:
- Clear access to the walls you want covered.
- Have your photos, ideas and a rough budget ready.
- Tell us about any wiring, lighting or furniture plans.
- Point out damp patches or cracks on the walls.
- Keep decision-makers available so choices can be made on the day.
If you place an order with us, the visit fee is adjusted in your final bill. A visit is confirmed only after our team contacts you.
Request a quote with your measurements, or write “Not sure yet” if you need help.
